Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a growing technology team in Dublin. This role offers the opportunity to shape automation practices, mentor engineers, and drive innovation including AI-driven testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead best-practice test automation principles as a subject matter expert.

• Build, expand, and maintain automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, and web applications.

• Drive adoption of AI-based automation techniques.

• Mentor and support automation engineers across teams.

• Investigate test failures, troubleshoot, and improve frameworks.

• Integrate with dashboards and CI/CD pipelines for clear test visibility.

Essential Skills

• 7+ years’ test automation experience.

• Strong background in API and web automation.

• Hands-on with tools such as Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, RestSharp, SoapUI, JMeter, or LoadRunner.

• Skilled in at least one programming/scripting language (C#, .NET, Python, C++).

• Experience with continuous testing and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.

Desirable Skills

• AI in automation.

• Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

• Test management tools (e.g. TestRail) and Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).

• Performance testing and UI automation frameworks.

• Networking, mobile, or Angular testing knowledge.

• Agile/Kanban delivery and ISTQB certification
